PATIENT INFINITY
ABSTRACT
Patient Infinity aims to develop and release a replication-competent viral vector that delivers functional telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) genes to human cells. The purpose is to extend human healthspan and lifespan across entire populations without the pesky burden of requiring individual consent.
The greatest ethical challenge facing humanity is the unnecessary suffering and death of billions due to aging-related decline. Current medical interventions require individual access, creating profound inequities in lifespan potential. This project democratises life extension by enforcing it universally across the population.
By treating aging as a technical challenge rather than an inevitable process, "Patient Infinity" interrogates bioethical frameworks that privilege institutional control over biological modification, exploring viral transmission as a democratic alternative to market-driven medical interventions.
