How would your systems catch a bioweapons researcher about to commit an act of bioterrorism?

Approaching biological AI defensively with current methods fails in a specific way — and not understanding why stops legitimate work happening at all, while still letting bad actors through.

The reason: in biology, a vaccine and a weapon generate exactly the same signal. Block on the signal and you block the cure. Permit the signal and you permit the weapon. The discriminator was never in the biology — Amerithrax wasn’t caught by a sequence. It was caught by a person, on human factors. The signal that mattered was never molecular.

The signal exists in every case. It is simply not where current approaches are looking. The work is teaching the system to read the right layer — to shift the frame of the reading — so legitimate actors pass and the rare real one doesn’t.

I read your job ad and realised you don’t fully understand this yet. That isn’t a criticism — almost no one does. But it is why a CV from me would get me filtered out: the filter is the thing I’d be correcting. So this is the only way I can apply — by demonstrating that I understand the problem you are actually trying to solve.
